If you are not an experienced rider, or if you have no-one that is experienced enough to be your group leader, or if you just want a relaxing ride, we recommend you take a guide. Guides are volunteers, NOT paid by us. $15 is a fair tip for an hour's worth of guide service.... tips should be bigger for larger parties and longer rides.
Adventure Rides to nearby State and County Parks. It costs $30 to rent a Paso for an hour. Rent for two hours, and get an hour for free.
ABOUT OUR WONDERFUL PASO FINO HORSES.... The name means "Fine Gait". They are sure-footed and athletic, with an incredibly elegant, smooth gait, which enables the rider to go great distances without getting sore or tired.

On his second voyage from Spain, he brought with him a select group of mares and stallions... the foundation stock for remount stations of the Conquistadors. Our Paso Fino Horses today are the selectively bred descendants of this original group.

The minimum rate depends on the size of your party, but will be at least $75 a person, with a maximum of 6 people per group.
We do offer who would like to spend the day with us. Day camp rate is $40 a day, and includes two rides, morning and afternoon. Children staying for day camp should be mature enough to behave in a responsible manner around horses This will be judged on a case by case basis, but is usually 8 years old and up. Sun City Stables reserves the right to call parents to take their child home, should their behavior be unacceptable to us.
Young people (and older people too!) are able to volunteer at Sun City Stables. They are able to help out with the horses in return for riding time. olunteers will be accepted on a case by case basis... if you're interested, just give us a call!
