Everybody wanna go to Heaven SOME day.... we just don't wanna go right NOW....

Being with horses is good for the SPIRIT.....Diatomaceous Earth is good for the BODY.......And now we also want talk about the SOUL. 

Our SOUL was made to live forever....we instinctively understand this...most of the world's religions agree... BUT: We are not talking religion here.

Most religions are basically a way of reaching out to the Supreme Being that created us...and involve man's trying to  live in harmony with the physical and spiritual universe around, and within us.....

The Supreme Being, God,  has, however, already reached out to US...

God has spoken to us at different times throughout history, using "messengers"...

These inspired men and women then wrote accounts....  The accounts later became a collection of books. That collection is now known as the BIBLE...

The recurring theme in the Bible is obvious. We already know without being told: ....

Nobody's perfect.

BIBLE: NEW TESTAMENT, book of Romans chapter 3, verse 10) "As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one."

(Also in the book of Romans chapter 3, verse 23:) " For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."

SIN......!!!! 

That WORD!!!...  All it means is: we all screw up.

You don't have to be EVIL....a murderer or a rapist... to be a sinner -- just imperfect.  Telling a half-truth or thinking a nasty thought makes you imperfect and, bingo, you're a sinner.

Contrary to popular belief, there are no "good people". We may do lots of good stuff, but we'll never be PERFECTLY good.

SOOOOO...we are all sinners... no way around it.... we're all in the same boat....up the creek...no paddle....

And it gets worse:

(FROM THE BIBLE, NEW TESTAMENT, book ofRomans, Chapter 6, verse 23) " For the wages of sin is death..."

(AND IN THE BIBLE, OLD TESTAMENT book of Ezekiel, Chapter 18, verse4 "The soul that sinneth--It shall die."

The problem is that God is NOT a sinner. He IS holy and perfect, and Heaven is the perfect place where he lives.

Imperfection is not present in Heaven, so, since we are not perfect, we don't get to go there...we would mess it up!

Our imperfect selves are therefore necessarily separated from God. 

DEATH........!!!!!

The word "death" actually means "separation".

When we die, our soul and spirit are separated from our body.

But that is only physical death. There is another "death".

Eternal death. We need to be separated from God for eternity, because we are less than perfect.

The Bible calls this "Hell".

WOW- REALLY BAD NEWS.....We CAN'T be perfect, so there's no possibility for us to spend eternity with God !!

FORTUNATELY, the story does not end here. Our Creator does love us.

He does not want us to be separated from Him eternally, He loves us...He created us for his own good pleasure as beings with a free will, to think for ourselves and make our own choices...

But, God, being perfect, is also  perfectly just...Sin has a penalty, and it HAS to be paid.

More Bible verses:

Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, BUT the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord."

SOOOO.... God came up with a plan: Only a person with NO SIN DEBT of his own can pay someone else's debt.

God, therefore, sent His Son Jesus to Earth, into "time" and "space" to be one of us. Because Jesus was divine, like God, and equal to God, He was actually able to live a sinless life during his time here on earth as a human being.

When He was put to death about 2000 years ago, as God intended, He had no sins for which to pay.

Jesus' death, therefore, was Gods GIFT to all mankind. It  paid for our sins.

(THE BIBLE AGAIN, in ST. PAUL'S SECOND LETTER TO THE PEOPLE IN CORINTH, CHAPTER 5,VERSE 21) "He hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him."

 Being God, Jesus was able to rise again from the dead, and 3 days after he was crucified, He did. He stayed here on earth for a while before he went back home to Heaven to show us that He, indeed, had power over death.

(BIBLE: ST. JOHN'S ACCOUNT OF THE LIFE OF JESUS, CHAPTER 3, VERSE 16 ) "For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."

Sin has been paid for....Gods gift to us.....Jesus paid our sin debt.

As with ALL GIFTS,  this gift actually needs to be accepted by the recipient, in order to BE GIVEN!

HOW TO ACCEPT--- ?????

Ninety times in the book that one of the followers of Jesus, a physician named John, wrote after Jesus' death, a book that is now part of the Bible, it  says to "Believe."

The word "believe" means to "trust in, rely on and adhere to". If you believe in something, you can rest your weight on it....and know you won't fall.

REPENT.....!!!!!

Another word that's thrown around a lot.... The word "repent" means "change your mind."

When you repent, you change your mind about who Jesus is and about what He has done for you.

You go from not believing to believing, because you now understand and accept that Jesus is the only road to heaven.

You change your mind about being self-sufficient, and realize you can do nothing to save yourself....Jesus did it.

To sum it up:

You need to admit to God that you are a sinner and have no hope of heaven by yourself.

You understand that God sent His Son Jesus to die here on Earth. You understand that the innocent death, the BLOOD of Jesus, satisfied God's need for justice, His required punishment for sin.

Jesus died in your place...was separated from God...experienced Hell...the separation from and rejection by his Father....Jesus then conquered Death and Hell...by coming back to life!

When His work here was done, He went back to Heaven...which is where He is right now.

This is what this means it to accept  Jesus as your Saviour.

You might want to pray to God: The prayer does not save you -- it is just a good way to verbalize your decision to God.

"Dear Father in Heaven -- I admit that I am a sinner, and I realize there is nothing I can do to earn my way to Heaven. Thank-you so much for sending Jesus to die in my place. I believe that Jesus rose from the dead 3 days later, and is now living in Heaven with You.

I accept the gift that Jesus gave to me. I put my total trust in his death on the cross to pay for my sins. Thank you Jesus for saving me!!

If you prayed that and meant it --- your sins have been paid for.....God gave you a ticket to Heaven, and....you have been...

BORN AGAIN...!!!!!

The first time you were born, you became part of "the family of all human beings". 

By trusting in Jesus, you have become part of a new family within the "family of all human beings"...the "family of God". You were born again...and instead of being just one of God's creations, you are one of his children...destined to live with Him forever.

It would be good to work at learning more about the God who saved you....

He can also help you live.... Since you've been born again into the family of God, you're God's child, not just his creation. And, as your father, He'll guide your life and help you learn and grow.....As long as you are open to His guidance...He will teach......if you turn your back on that guidance...you will lose it eventually...and answer for your choices, later, when you see God in Heaven.

There will be regret, and sorrow, and loss of reward.... for things you screw up here on Earth...just as you will be rewarded for the things you did right......but you'll be with your Father in Heaven forever......and that next part of life will be an EPIC ADVENTURE that will make the best, most thrilling experiences here on Earth seem...well...mundane!
