We all want to go to Heaven... but we don't want to go right NOW....

This page explains how you can know for sure you are going to Heaven...some day!  If interested -- Read on!!

If NOT interested --- please just click on another menu button to exit.  We do NOT want to force this on you, but it tells you, in a nut shell, what the Christian World View is all about.

"The best thing for the inside of a man was the outside of a horse." This saying has been attributed to Winson Churchill, Ronald Reagan and various other people. No matter who said it, there's a lot of truth to it.

Being with horses is good for the SPIRIT, and usually (!) for the BODY too.....

And now comes:...the SOUL

Our SOUL is the part of us that lives forever....we instinctively know  this...

We're born with the perception that there must be more than just this life....

"Religion" is basically reaching out to the hereafter...

We instinctively crave harmony and direction in our lives: Harmony with the physical world we perceive, and harmony also with the spiritual universe around and within us...

Looking at creation around us, we perceive that we, too, are created beings.

Our Creator is accessible.

He's been reaching out to us from the beginning of creation and will continue to do so until time, and this universe, ends.

He has spoken to us throughout history.

Many different people wrote accounts of what God inspired, throughout thousands of years of history....  the accounts later became a collection of books. That collection of books we now know as the BIBLE...

The recurring theme in the Bible is obvious:

GOD is GOOD and People are not. People are imperfect.

You don't necessarily have to be EVIL like Hitler to be imperfect.  Telling a half-truth or thinking a nasty thought makes you imperfect.

Contrary to popular belief, there are no "good people". We may do lots of good stuff, but we'll never be PERFECTLY good. "Nobody's perfect" is a well known saying.

SOOOOO...we are all sinners...

Our Creator is NOT a sinner. He IS perfect, and he lives in a perfect place, outside our Universe, outside space and outside time, in a place traditionally referred to as "Heaven".

We, as imperfect beings,  can't go there...it would no longer be perfect, with us in it!

Our imperfect selves are therefore necessarily separate from  the One who created us... forever.

DEATH........!!!!!

The word "death" actually means "separation".

When we die, our soul and spirit are separated from our body.

But that is only physical death.

The other death is separation from our Creator, together with other imperfect creations, forever.

This the Bible calls "Hell".

"Eternity", outside of Time and Space, sounds horrible.

FORTUNATELY, our Creator thought so too.

Why did he create us?

The Bible says He created us for his own good pleasure as beings with a free will, to think for ourselves and make our own choices...

He loves us, despite the mess we created by "being free to make our own choices".

But, God, being perfect, is also  perfectly just...Sin has a penalty, and it HAS to be paid.

SOOOO.... God came up with a plan: A PERFECT person with NO SIN DEBT of his own can pay someone else's debt.

God, therefore, sent His Son to Earth, into time and space to be human, to be one of us. Because Jesus was divine, like God, and equal to God, He was actually able to live a sinless life during his time here on earth as a human being.

When He was put to death about 2000 years ago, just as God and He intended, He had no sins for which to pay.

Jesus' death, therefore, was Gods GIFT to all mankind. It  paid for our sins.

Being God, Jesus was able to overcome his physical death. and, 3 days after he was crucified, He did. He took human form again and stayed here on earth for a while before he went back home to Heaven to show us that He, indeed, did have power over death.

(BIBLE: ST. JOHN'S ACCOUNT OF THE LIFE OF JESUS, CHAPTER 3, VERSE 16 ) "For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."

Sin has been paid for....Gods gift to us.....Jesus paid our sin debt.

(THE BIBLE, ST. PAUL's LETTER TO THE EPHESIAN PEOPLE, CHAPTER 2, VERSES  8-9: ) "For by grace are you saved, through faith, and not of yourselves-it is the gift of God. Not of works, least any man should boast."

As with ALL GIFTS,  this gift actually needs to be accepted by the recipient, in order to BE GIVEN!

HOW TO ACCEPT--- ?????

BELIEVE......!!!!!!

Ninety times in the book that one of the followers of Jesus, a physician named John, wrote after Jesus' death, a book that is now part of the Bible, it  says to "Believe."

The word "believe" means to "trust in, rely on and adhere to". If you believe in something, you can rest your weight on it....and know you won't fall.

REPENT.....!!!!!

Another word that's thrown around a lot.... The word "repent" means "change your mind."

When you repent, you change your mind about who Jesus is and about what He has done for you.

You go from not believing to believing, because you now understand and accept that Jesus is the only road to heaven.

To sum it up:

You need to understand that you are a sinner and have no hope of heaven by yourself.

You also understand that God sent His Son Jesus to die here on Earth. You understand that the innocent death, the BLOOD of Jesus, has satisfied God's need for justice, His required punishment for sin.

Jesus died in your place...was separated from God...experienced Hell...the separation from and rejection by his Father....Jesus then conquered Death and Hell...by coming back to life.

When His work here was done, He went back to Heaven...which is where He is right now. He was there before time started, and He will be there after time, as we know it, ends.

This is what this means it to accept  Jesus as your Saviour.

You might want to pray: The prayer does not save you -- it is just a good way to verbalize your decision.

"Dear Lord and Creator -- I can see that I am a sinner, and I realize there is nothing I can do to earn my way to a place with You. Thank-you for paying my way....for sending Jesus to die in my place. I believe that Jesus rose from the dead 3 days later, and is now back with You.

I accept this gift that Jesus gave to me. I trust in his death here on Earth to pay for all past, present and future sins in this planet, until the end of time....and also to pay for mine. Thank you.

If you prayed that and meant it .....your Creator has given you a ticket to eternity with Him, and....you have been

RE-BORN...!!!!!

The first time you were born, you became part of "the family of all human beings".

By trusting in Jesus, you have become part of a new family within the "family of all human beings"...the "family of God". You were born again...and instead of being just one of God's creations, you are one of his children...destined to BE with Him forever.

To learn more about the God who saved you....

He can also help you live.... Since you've been born again into the family of God, you're God's child, no longer just his creation. And, as your father, He'll guide your life and help you learn and grow.....As long as you are open to His guidance...He will teach......if you turn your back on that guidance...you will lose it eventually...and in this confusing and hurtful world, that is a great loss.

In eternity, there will be negative consequences like regret, and sorrow, and loss of reward, for things you screw up here on Earth...

...and there will be positive consequences for the good things you did......

but either way, you'll be with your Father in Heaven forever......

...and that next part of our existence, our eternal existence, will be an EPIC ADVENTURE that will make even the best, most thrilling experiences here on Earth seem...well...mundane!
