 Horseback Rental                                                             

 

We offer hourly Trail Rides for beginners and advanced riders,

guided or unguided. 

 

Riders do not have to follow a set route, you can choose your own way.

 

                       

You may  trot and gallop your horses if you wish, but please

 

be careful of- and courteous to other riders around you.

 

Especially be mindful of  Beginners who have no "need for speed.

They feel that just  BEING on  horseback is an adventure in itself! . 

 

 

               

                         

 

     Rates are $25 an hour. 

        If you book for two hours, you get a 3rd Hour FREE.

                          

       Our all-day rate is $65. We do not accept credit cards, debit cards, or checks: CASH ONLY.

 

        Our Hours are:  Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m.

                                    Saturdays  8:00 a.m. through  6:00 p.m.

                                     Sundays 8:00 a.m. through  6:00 p.m.  

         We recommend, but do not require that you call before you come out.....

         We will answer the phone outside of our business hours,

                                  so do feel free to call with questions, or reservations.....

 

  If you are not an experienced rider,                                  

  or if you have no-one that is experienced enough to be your group leader,

  or if you just want a simple, relaxing ride, with someone who knows the horses,  and the trails

                                  we recommend you take a Guide . 

                                 . Please Tip your Guide.

                                         Guides are volunteers, NOT paid by us.

   $20 per group is a fair tip for an hour's worth of guide service....

   For rides longer than an hour, tips average about $15/hour....

You do not have to keep your guide for a full hour, as soon as you feel comfortable and would like to continue riding alone, you are welcome to do so!!!

 

   Gaited Horse Rental 

For more experienced riders, for just $10 more, gaited horses are available on request. 

They are a smoother ride than any of our regular horses.

They are not beginner horses, so if you are a beginner and you want to rent one, we suggest you either take a lesson, or go out with a guide.

It costs $35 to rent a gaited horse for an hour. 

Rent for two hours, and get an hour for free.

 

  Adventure Rides have to be booked in advance.

  Boarding Horses

 

Full Board is $300/month.

 

feed, hay, "Source", free-range minerals and salt blocks

nightly turnout...horses are "out" between  about 5 pm and 8 am.

10' x 24' pen with 4' entrance gate...horses are "in" between about 9 am and 5 pm. 

attached 10' x 12' private covered area for owner's tack and personal possessions.

use of wash areas, round pens, picnic areas and riding trails.

 

Leasing a Horse

      Leases are done at $400/month on a month-to-month basis, renewable at our discretion.

 

 

Riding Lessons

two options:

Simple:
$40 an hour includes 30 minutes of instruction and 30 minutes of free riding/practice time. Weekday or weekend availability.

      Intensive:

$50 an hour. Customized lesson includes communication ground work and basic natural horsemanship using a combination of techniques from different riding disciplines.

Available weekdays only, by appointment.

 

 Training

Yee-hah!
Horse Training - Actually, there's very little "Yee-hah!" to our training. It's a question of persistence, consistence, confidence, tenacity and gentleness, combined with a knowledge of equine physiology and psychology.

Only a horse that knows its boundaries and feels secure is capable of achieving its potential.

A well-trained horse is a joy.

We strive continually to learn more about these wonderful animals, and we love to help others understand, appreciate and enjoy their equine companion(s). But, then again, a little bit of "Yee-hah!" is a LOT of fun!!!

  If you fall in love with one of our horses, and want to provide a forever home, we do sell them.

  We are sometimes willing take payments, on a  case-by-case basis, just ask.
